Imagine yourself in Che's position in Peru. You are in a foreign place where not many people speak the same language as you and each day is an adventure not knowing what to expect. How would you handle it or could you handle it? How would it change you as a person? I chose this because I think it is interesting to see what people think about putting themselves in Che's position.
This would definitely be a difficult situation. Sometimes it is hard enough to communicate with people who speak the same language but I cannot even begin to imagine not being on the same page. I think I would handle it by using my people skills that I have acquired and just trying my best to blend in with the culture. I think it would definitely be a life changing experience because it would change how you view everything.
ReplyDeleteIf I am traveling places where not many people speak the same language, I would try to find someone who can speak my language. In that way, I can gain more information during the trip and get foods or shelters easier. If I do not find the person who can speak my language, I would use body language or carry paper with me to describe certain things by picture. This experience would help me adopt different environment faster and it would teach me how to communicate with people in different countries.
